Abstract submissiOn Closes 21 January 2025

The ISSCR welcomes abstract submissions from scientists, clinicians, and researchers in all sectors, including academia, industry, government, and education. We do not accept advertisements of commercial products or services or clinical case studies.  Please email abstracts@isscr.org with questions.  

Deadlines to note: 

Oral and Poster Abstract Submission opens Wednesday, 2 October 2024 and closes on Tuesday, 21 January 2025.  

Late-breaking Abstract Submission opens on Tuesday, 12 February 2025 and closes on Wednesday, 19 March 2025.

  • Poster abstract submissions only

  • Late-breaking abstracts are not eligible for Travel or Merit awards.  

Abstract fees (USD and non-refundable): 

Oral and Poster Abstracts: $75 USD for each submission 

Late-breaking Abstracts: $110 USD for each submission

  • Oral Abstract Submissions

    • Submit between 2 October 2024 through 21 January 2025 to be considered for an eight (8) minute oral presentation in a concurrent track session and present a poster during a poster session. 

    • Abstract-selected speakers must attend ISSCR 2025 in-person.  

    • Oral submissions not accepted for an oral presentation are considered for a poster presentation.  

    Poster Abstract Submissions

    • Submit between 2 October 2024 through 21 January 2025 to be considered for a poster presentation.  

    • Poster presenters must attend ISSCR 2025 in-person.   

    • To be eligible for Travel and Merit Awards, ISSCR students and post-doc members must submit a poster abstract by 21 January 2025. 

    • Submit from 12 February 2025 through 19 March 2025 to be considered for a poster presentation only.  

    • Poster presenters must attend ISSCR 2025 in-person. 

Abstract Guidance

  • NOTE: While abstracts are reviewed for inclusion in the program, they do not undergo a formal peer-review process. Presented abstracts are included in the Program and/or Abstract Books and are citable.  

    Submitted abstracts must adhere to the following:   

    • Include substantive results, whether experimental, calculated, or theoretical.  

    • Include experimentally derived quantitative data if the abstract topic is a commercial product. 

    • Ensure results are the work of the listed author(s). 

    Note: Clinical case studies will not be considered.

  • By submitting an abstract to be considered for the ISSCR Annual Meeting, the submitter agrees to:  

    • Adhere to deadlines for submission and acceptance.  

    • Register to attend the meeting if accepted.  

    • Ensure the presenter understands that in-person registration is required by 9 April 2025 and that deadlines must be adhered to, if submitting an abstract on behalf of another presenter.   

    • Pay abstract submission fee (separate from registration fee).  

  • Submitters will be asked to select the topic and specialty that best describes the abstract. 

    Topic: Submitters need to select the concurrent track that best suits their abstract:

    • Organ Generation and Regeneration 

    • Pluripotency and Development 

    •  Somatic Stem Cells and Cancer

    Specialty: Submitters need to select a specialty that best suits their abstract.  

    • Cardiac 

    • Epithelial (includes Skin, Gut, Lung, etc.) 

    • Germline and Early Embryo 

    • Hematopoietic, Immune and Endothelial  

    • Kidney 

    • Liver 

    • Mesenchymal/Stromal Cells; Adipose and Connective Tissue  

    • Musculoskeletal  

    • Neural 

    • Pancreas 

    • Epigenetics 

    • Aging, Cancer and Homeostasis  

    • Cell and Gene Therapy including Manufacturing and Commercialization  

    • Genome Editing  

    • Tissue Engineering

    • Abstract submission may take up to 20 minutes when materials are pre-formatted.  

    • Edits are permitted until the submission deadline of 21 January 2025. 

    • Abstract reviewers agree to protect the confidentiality of the unpublished information described in the abstracts.  

    • Abstracts will become available to meeting registrants via the abstract book PDF approximately one (1) week before the meeting. 

    • Abstracts remain under the embargo policy until the start time of the session.  

    • The ISSCR 2025 Abstract Book will be made available to the public on the Archives page [link] after the event and on-demand content period has concluded.

kEY dATES AND DEADLINES

    4 April 2025 – Oral and Poster notifications. 

    9 April 2025 – Accepted Oral and Poster presenters must accept and register. 

    9 April 2025 – Any changes to the abstract’s presenting author must be done by this date,  

    and the new presenter must already be listed as a co-author and registered.  

    23 April 2025 – Last day a presenting author can withdraw an abstract from the program.  

    Early May – Poster numbers and poster session assignments are sent via email. 

  • 9 March 2025 – Late-breaking abstract submission deadline 

    9 April 2025 – Notifications are sent via email.  

    23 April 2025 – Late-breaking poster presenters must accept and register. Last day to  change the abstract’s presenting author. The new presenter must already be listed as a co-author and registered.  

    23 April 2025 – Last day a presenting author can withdraw an abstract from the program.
